The primary challenges with the legacy WordPress site were its sluggish performance and poor SEO capabilities. The user experience was hindered by slow page transitions and a design that lacked the 'wow' factor essential for the gaming industry.

We needed to build a solution that combined lightning-fast performance, superior SEO features, and a sleek, modern aesthetic that would resonate with both the gaming community and potential franchise partners.

We completely rebuilt the platform using Next.js for the frontend and Sanity as a headless CMS. This transition provided a massive boost in performance and SEO flexibility. Next.js allowed us to implement server-side rendering and static generation, ensuring near-instant load times.

By integrating Sanity, we gave the Gala team a powerful, easy-to-use interface for managing their content, including location updates and hardware showcases. The new design features an immersive dark theme with vibrant accents, perfectly aligning with the brand's gaming-forward identity.

Gala Esport, Australia's leading gaming experience provider, had an existing website built on WordPress.
